Flowcharts are magic. They reveal cause and effect relationships much better than words can.
CFO.com published an article about the costs of general accounting. It is in English, so head over, have a look. The gist of the article is this: "Unlike the lower-performing companies, the leaders don’t have paper-clogged workflows and armies of people performing manual tasks."
Let's tie this blog post to the earlier one and try to describe our very general "terms of reference", thus setting up a scene for our future work, in terms of What, Where and When. Incidentally, these three words in this very sequence happen to be the name of a popular somewhat highbrow TV show started in USSR and continuing today on the Russian TV, albeit with more glitter, then you expect from a quiz game. Our task at hand is perhaps less glitzy, nonetheless important for our future system-in-making.
Все говорят: Кремль, Кремль.
—В. Ерофеев [1]
To paraphrase the epigraph: Все говорят: 1С, 1С. Or for our non-Russian speaking readers: Everybody says: "1C, 1C". The 1C:Enterprise platform commands a sizable market share in ex-USSR countries. As well, as a relevant degree of mind-share among accounting/finance profession in the region. So much so, we would not be surprised to see it used for hammering the nails, so universal a tool it is perceived to be. Among those in the know, that is.
